Information about our indoor meetings and other events Professional speakers draw a regular audience, but there is always room for a few more. If you see a talk that interests you why not come along and bring a friend. Our meetings are open to everyone, not just RSPB members. A selection of RSPB Goods, Nuts and Seeds are always on sale. Tea or Coffee and Biscuits are free.

is a respected and passionate British wildlife photographer, exhibiting
at, amongst others, the British Bird Fair, as well as conducting practical
photographic workshops. Through his lens, he will give us an insight into
the world of some of our remarkable sea birds in a talk titled “Striking,
Impressive & Spectacular Seabirds”. |

Flora & Fauna of South-East England” - Brian
Gallop is a widely travelled naturalist, but returns to these
shores for our talk, with some stunning images of birds, butterflies,
flowers and fungi. |

of page Dr Richard Black, who works for the R.S.P.B. from his base in Brighton, is well known to our Group for his help with “red-ringing” tree sparrows at Beddington in 2011. His subject of “Climate Change” may well be a cause for the decline in Croydon’s unique rarity, and Richard’s talk will investigate how the climate dictates such vagaries. |

of page Colin Kirkland is an active wildlife enthusiast who frequently lectures throughout East Anglia on a number of topics. We are very pleased to have coaxed him further south to hear about “Birdwatching in East Anglia”. |

Barrie Mason drives all around the U.K. giving a range
of talks to R.S.P.B. Groups. It is 6 years since he last visited us, so
his talk on this particularly colourful region is eagerly anticipated. |

is a professional wildlife and landscape photographer, writer, tour guide
and lecturer. His talk on “Scottish Wildlife”
will cover all seasons of the year, and many habitats such as Grouse Moors,
ancient Caledonian Pine Forests and much more. |

of page Our Group has requested its donation to the RSPB be directed to “Lowland Heathland” for the last few years. Nick Philips, from R.S.P.B. Sandy HQ will tell us the history, the birds and other wildlife that depend on this dwindling and threatened U.K. habitat.. |

launch in 2011 of his book “The Urban Birder”, David
Lindo, the well known ‘bird-nut’, writer and broadcaster
takes us on a trip around his local patch to trace “A Year
in Wormwood Scrubs”. We hope he’ll be released in
